“The most powerful aspect about this child’s submission is that she is depicting her current life situation of dealing with family violence, drugs, low self-esteem, and gang involvement but through her relationship and connection with this center to be the first person in her family to graduate from high school. In 2007, this child will attend a College to study and become a sign language interpreter”.
